Total Investment Abroad from Shanghai Comes to US$350m, increasing 193% in the First Half Year

In the first half of the year, newly signed projects of investment in foreign countries from Shanghai have come to 41, with total amount of US$350m, increasing 21.4% and 193% respectively. More than half of these projects are invested by private-owned enterprises, showing the diversified development of investment in foreign countries and gradual improvement of its level.

In the field of foreign engineering contracting and labor cooperation, Shanghai witnessed signature of 3054 new related-contracts with total amount of US$2.93b in the first half of the year, increasing 47.18% and 71.84% respectively. Multiple projects of foreign engineering contracting in Shanghai have realized new development at technical level, in fields and in terms of the means of contracting.
