Google R& D Center currently opens in Shanghai. Besides Google, world leading IT enterprises like Microsoft and Intel have laid out their great R&D plan in Shanghai. These three mentioned enterprises are respectively on the top of network, software and chip of IT industry.
Market is the key factor attracting multinationals to invest much money in R&D. To win in China, technology should be localized. Therefore, R&D centers in Shanghai are not aim to be close to China but also to be close to the emerging market and provide technology to the whole world. In addition, the sufficient supply of intelligence is also an important factor.
